Trust a Thief (Eric Hilton Signature Series)

Born from a shared devotion to analog sound, restraint, and intention, "Trust a Thief" Signature Series is a rare collaboration between Thievery Corporation’s Eric Hilton and Berlin-based boutique manufacturer resør, founded by Aleks.

Limited to just 50 hand-built units worldwide, this signature series analog and discrete rotary mixer (Hi-Fi preamplifier) is not a reinterpretation of an existing design—it is a purpose-built instrument shaped around Hilton’s personal approach to listening, mixing, and flow. Each mixer is individually assembled and calibrated in Berlin to Hilton’s exact sonic and aesthetic specifications.

The mixer is housed in a bespoke solid mahogany enclosure, a conscious nod to the Golden Age of Hi-Fi, where materials mattered and sound was treated as craft. A silver matte anodized aluminium faceplate brings balance and restraint, allowing form and function to speak quietly but confidently.

Internally, audiophile-grade capacitors are selected for warmth, depth, and signal integrity, preserving the nuance and musicality essential to rotary mixing. Four round analogue VU meters provide immediate visual feedback while reinforcing a classic studio sensibility. Urei-style knobs offer smooth, deliberate resistance—designed for long sessions, subtle transitions, and hands-on control.

Each unit is accompanied by a hand-signed, individually numbered certificate of authenticity signed by Eric Hilton, confirming its place within this ultra-limited run. The mixer ships in a custom  “Trust a Thief” protective travel case, created exclusively for this series, and is supported by a 4-year international warranty.
