'A Dialogue with Sound' — A listening room by resør x atemporal

For four days, opening during CURRENTS Berlin, we're taking over a room at Atemporal Projects and making it a quiet space for listening.

Most music gets heard while we're doing something else. This is the opposite of that. One system, set up carefully, playing records away from the noise. Give it your attention and things start to open up. Instruments find their own space, a recording tells you something about the room it was made in, small details you'd never notice otherwise come forward.
Listening like this isn't passive—it's an exchange. You give the music your attention, and it gives you something back. That's the dialogue.

Local artists, labels and friends are joining us across the days with their own selections, and Aleks will be hosting throughout, playing from his own collection through resør's new sound system, our upcoming hi-fi, heard in full for the first time.
