A Letter From Aleks: The Next Chapter
Dear Community
I never imagined that something which began in a one room apartment would grow into what resør is today.
When I first started building mixers on my own, the goal was simple. I wanted to create something I could not find elsewhere. A DJ mixer created with intention and care, centered on high quality sound and guided by timeless design. I never dreamed how far those early builds would travel, or how many people they would ultimately reach.
Today, resør mixers are used around the world. In homes, listening bars, restaurants, clubs, and spaces where music plays a central role. Seeing them become part of meaningful moments and shared experiences has been a genuine privilege.
As resør has grown, so has the responsibility to think long term. To remain sustainable, independent, and guided by our values, we need to create space for the company to evolve. For this reason, I want to share an important update regarding pricing.
These adjustments are not about profit. They are about supporting our team, investing more deeply in our work, and ensuring we can continue developing new ideas without compromise.
Many manufacturers reduce quality as they scale. That has never been our approach. Rather than chasing more for less, we continue to invest in higher standards, fewer compromises, and work carried out by people who genuinely care about what they create. In a market driven by rapid cycles and endless features, our focus remains unchanged: intuitive, lasting design and sound above all else.
Every resør mixer is handmade using discrete Class A circuitry. Each unit is assembled, tested, and finished by hand. This process takes time. Demand has grown significantly this year, and while longer wait times can be challenging, they reflect a deliberate decision not to mass-produce and to protect the integrity of our work.
Our designs are entirely original and are not based on anything already seen or heard before. From the discrete Class A circuitry to the choice of materials for both aesthetics and function, resør maintains recognisable and unique identity, proudly preserving the transparent sound signature in a most pleasing way.
We are further refining what we make. Moving forward, all mixers will feature Mica capacitors in the filtering sections and Mundorf MCaps in the phono preamps. These upgrades improve performance, longevity, and sonic character.
Looking ahead, the next chapter includes opening a new space in Berlin. A store directly connected to our workshop. It will be a place to experience resør in person, to listen, and to gather. More than a showroom, it is intended as a space that blends engineering and community, supporting other local businesses, labels, and audio makers.
We are also expanding our scope. Over the coming year, we will introduce power amplifiers, integrated amplifiers, speakers, and more. Our aim is to grow beyond being solely a DJ mixer company and continue developing a broader audio practice focused on listening and performance.
In a time shaped by speed and disposability, we believe physical instruments made with care matter more than ever. Our goal remains to create tools that bring people together and serve music in its most human form.
